Our Level 1 programme aims to provide new-comers to the game with an understanding of some of the fundamental elements of the game, such as basic implementations of Batting and Bowling techniques and understanding various Cricket terminology. 
Level 2 aims to further this learning and understanding with deeper insights into some of the finer and more advanced aspects of the game. As well as also managing the transition from Soft-ball cricket to Hard-Ball Cricket and safe operations of Net Sessions.

LEVEL 1
Learn how to introduce the basic techniques for batting,
bowling and fielding into fun and engaging games and
sessions.
By the end of the course you should be able to:
  • Teach all the basics for Batting, Bowling and Fielding 
    • Deliver a catalogue of fun and engaging drills for pupils to practice the skills
    • Run different types of games including pairs cricket for various ages and abilities 
    • Understand the basic rules of the game
    • Become more familiar with the terminology used in Cricket

LEVEL 2
Learn how to introduce and manage the transition from
soft to hardball cricket
By the end of the course you should be able to:
  • Start and manage the transition to hardball cricket
    • Understand how to run net sessions safely and effectively 
    • Introduce more advanced skills such as running between the wickets, wicket keeping, batting techniques and progressing bowling

    • Level 2 is also our only course offering that grants 
      access to masterclasses with current and former
      England International's

UMPIRING AND SCORING
An Introduction to the Basics of Umpiring
By the end of the course you should be able to understand the main rules of cricket along with:
  • Umpiring signals
    • Ways to be out 
    • Understanding the crease markings
    • How to umpire and score different formats
    • The role of the umpire 
    • The spirit of cricket

    • Suitable for all teachers wanting to learn how to score and umpire in competitive matches.

Cricket for Girls aims to create unforgettable and empowering sporting experiences for females of all ages, abilities and backgrounds. We aim to create a platform and environment from which cricket becomes one of the most accessible sports for females at grassroots level in the UK. We aspire to be the go-to coaching initiative for all female players and coaches within the game and beyond, building confidence and forging lasting friendships both on and off the field.
